About me & How I work
I am originally from Brazil and have lived in the UK for nearly 20 years. Throughout my personal and professional life, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how our unique stories shape who we are.

Like many, I have faced life’s ups and downs. Attending therapy during challenging times helped me find the strength to accept my past and realise that, while I can’t change what has already happened, I have the power to shape my future and decide how I want to live.

My journey into counselling began with a deep passion for people, which included working in HR and as a Workplace Mediator for many years.

My professional journey has included counselling roles in an LGBTQI+ charity, a rape crisis centre, and providing psychosexual therapy within the NHS.

I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of meaningful change. Choosing the right therapist is deeply personal, and it’s important to find someone who feels like a good fit.

My approach
I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I tailor my approach to each client’s unique circumstances and needs. Compassion and authenticity are at the core of my practice, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely.

Sessions are held weekly at a regular time and last for 50 minutes. I only offer online therapy (via Zoom), which provides flexibility and accessibility for clients worldwide.

Next steps
There are two options to proceed:
1. You can book an initial session, which lasts 50 minutes. This session will give you both a sense of how we might work together and allow us to explore your current issues and what you hope to achieve. There is no obligation to schedule any further sessions after this initial meeting.
2. Alternatively, you can set up an initial consultation, which is a brief video call (up to 15 minutes) for us to meet and for you both to ask any questions you may have.

If you have made it this far here's a little bit more about me:
-
I’m fluent in both English and Portuguese and work comfortably in either language. I can also communicate "ish" in Spanish and would say my Spanish is more “creative” than fluent!
-
I am a summer person at heart, but I can’t help but smile when it snows.
-
The beach is my happy place—there’s something so calming about the sound of the waves.
-
I love learning new skills and trying different activities - I recently picked up chess, tried kickboxing, given paddleboarding a go and started learning tennis (with very humble beginnings!).
-
Recently, I experienced the loss of a beloved pet, which deepened my appreciation for the special role pets play in our lives and the grief that comes with saying goodbye.
